Taylor on advisory panel for Accreditation review

Mark Taylor, the Museums Association's director, is on the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council's advisory panel, looking at ways in which Accreditation can be updated to support development in museums…
He said: "Museum Accreditation has been one of the most influential initiatives in the last few generations. It has raised standards across all museums and has encouraged the flowering of many smaller institutions.

"This looks like being a fairly comprehensive review and I am pleased that I will be in the group helping MLA with this. Whatever happens and whatever is enacted, accreditation must retain its universality and credibility."
